Phtography
For some, photography is a hobby; for others, it’s a profession.
While I fall into the first category, a great deal of work often goes into these photos.
Therefore, it is not permitted to use the images on these pages or those in the gallery “just like that.”
Gallery
The Gallery offers a glimpse into what photography means to me and where my focus lies.
My focus is on nature photography on the one hand and wildlife photography on the other.
However, I’m also open to other subjects, such as droplet photography.
Commissioned Work
Of course, it’s also possible to hire me for commissioned work.
Please use the contact options listed below.
Purchasing Images
The images in the gallery can, of course, be purchased upon receipt of an invoice.
Since I determine the purchase price based on the intended use, there is no set price list.
If you’re interested in one or more images, simply send me an email or submit your request via the contact form.
Under certain circumstances, individual images may also be provided free of charge upon agreement.
This would apply, for example, to use by a nonprofit organization.
In this case, a credit to the author and a link to my website would suffice.
It costs nothing to ask!
Graphic Design
Essentially, graphic design is a very broad term.
Consequently, there is a great deal of room for interpretation.
The Wikipedia article is just as long.
Misconceptions
To minimize any misunderstandings, I have listed a few points below.
These provide an overview of the graphic design services I offer.
Logos
Modifications to existing logos as well as the design of new logos.
This is done in consultation with the client and according to their specifications.
Website Graphics
These include, for example, banners, headers, and background graphics.
I also provide recommendations on whether it makes sense to use a specific background graphic.
Modifications
Graphics or images already exist and simply need to be modified.
This includes, among other things, resizing and format changes.
I’m also happy to offer recommendations in this regard.
Images often look unattractive when they are scaled “to infinity.”
Integration
To put it more precisely, this involves integrating a graphic into the website.
Should the text wrap around the graphic, or is it a cover image?
Clarity
As mentioned at the beginning, graphic design is a very broad term.
Consequently, it’s difficult, if not impossible, to list all the details here.
For this reason, please use the contact form or send me an email with a description.
I’m sure we’ll be able to work something out!
Web Design
Tools and systems like WordPress make web design much easier.
However, there’s hardly a “off-the-shelf” theme that works exactly as desired right away.
Whether it’s because an additional link needs to be added to the footer, the translation isn’t complete, or colors need to be adjusted.
The same applies to gallery systems like Zenphoto or Piwigo.
These systems are often developed by developers from and for non-German-speaking regions. Consequently, the need for a legal notice, for example, isn’t always taken into account during development.
For beginners, these are often hurdles that are almost impossible to overcome.
I'm happy to offer advice and assistance here!
Hand-coded
It becomes nearly impossible when the code in individual files needs to be changed.
With Piwigo, for example, the visitor’s full IP address is stored in the database.
To change this and anonymize the IP address, manual intervention is currently (November 2016) required.
Of course, I’m happy to help with problems like these as well.
Custom Website
Not everyone wants to use a system like Joomla or WordPress for their website.
Often, a completely custom website is desired.
In this case, web design isn’t limited to customizing off-the-shelf systems, but involves developing the pages from scratch.
Whether in plain HTML or dynamically with PHP.
Based on my experience, this isn’t really a problem!
Curious?
Then simply send an email to me or use the contact form.
I’ll respond to your inquiry as soon as possible.
Of course, any work commissioned will be handled completely officially via invoice and not “under the table”!
